Is my trans shop lieing to me?
Hey Everyone.
I bought a '00 4L60e from my local JY. Got a damn good price on it, $150, it was mint inside, and everything seemed great.
Got it into my car, adn i installed it wrong, and fooked the pump.
Took it to my trans shop, and the guy told me its a 4L65e????
The casting says 4L60e on it, but he claims the convertor is a 4L65e, and when he went to fix the pump he had to use 4L65e parts.
Is it possible someone rebuilt it with 4L65e internals somepoint in its life??
Im trying to determine so i can get a stall, appearntly their different!
Thanks!

Some people call the LSX based 4L60E a "4L65E" it is not its a 60e just the late style. He should not be charging you more to fix it for that reason, The 65e is identical in this area also and looks the same. just it has 5 pin planets on the inside .
But anyway it should be the same price either way.
