Default What tranny should i go with

This is what i have , 1989 mustang notch , was 2850lbs with the cast block and bigger k member so should be 2600-2700 lbs now. Its a driver but not alot, some track use, should be around 350-370 rwhp for now, maybe 400's later down the road.

I really want overdrive but i hate trannys that you need to play with line pressure at the thottle body, maybe if i could use a valve body that doesnt need that .

4l60e
4l80e
th350

what would you use and id there a way to get overdrive and not have the TV cable or what ever it is.

How about a 4L60e with a TCI or Compushift controller and a nice converter?

200-4r with a manual valve body. Then you won't have a TV cable and you will have overdrive with lockup.

I would suggest a built 4l60e with a full manual valve body.
