Default yank... 4400 or 3600?

sooo i was lucky enough to have a yank given to me! but its a 4400... should i have it restalled to 3600 or so? im afraid it may be too much for when i get nitrous later on down the road. oh and also, my car is my daily driver so i need it to stay as dependable as possible til i can find a back up beater

You can sell it to me and get a smaller one. What series is it. I'm going with a PT4000, a 3600 is minimum. What mods do you have?

I like stalls in the 4000 range myself

If its a 4400 its most likely a PT series. I'd get it restalled to 3800 or 4000 for your setup. Don't worry about it being too loose, trust me, you'll like it.

4400 might be a little too big for a daily driver... it would help to know some of your other mods though. I do daily drive with a Yank SS4000 and it's great but takes some getting used to. Just needs a little more gear for me at this point.
Selling it and putting the $$$ toward a more "street friendly" converter might not be a bad idea... if it's okay with your friend

For what it's worth, I had a PI Vigilante 3600 (near a 3800-4000) and downgraded to a Vig 3200 (near a 3400-3600) and didn't notice it too much. It's plenty converter for daily driving a cam only car. Call Yank and tell them about your setup...

12.6 to 11.9 on motor

With nitrous, the car went 12.4 on a 65 shot and stock stall, to a 11.1 on a 100 shot and the 3600.

i have the ss4000 in mine with 3.23's. after a tune it tightens up alot and i think its a great converter. 3600 is a good size though if its your only car.

i guess a missed the memo, but a 4400 stall will eat a lot of that nitrous you want to put on. a smaller stall will get more bag for it id turn it down or sell it and buy a smaller like a 36-3800. i put a 4k TCI in a SS w/ 125 shot in a cam only set up and he wasnt seeing all of the potential from the shot. im sure it could have been the tune, but i have faith in my texas speed fella's i blame it all the stall!
