Cause they are different from the rest of them, the Valve Body and the Case is different internally if I'm not mistaken. Just one of them things..

I'm not exactly 100% sure how to explain it, I know a guy that runs a Tranny Shop that could explain it better..

I guess the way the 1994 PCM Controls it and the way the Fluid moves through it is different than a 1995, they just are.

1993 is a 4L60, pretty much a 700R4
1994 is a 4L60E, electronic, different from the 1993
1995 is a 4L60E as well, different from the 1994
1996 and 1997 are 4L60E's, and the same as each other from what I know
Then all the LSX 4L60E/4L65E ones are interchangeable.

Just the way it is..

You can use the 95 in the 94 either by switching the valve body or performing some simple mods to the 95 valve body. This would be true from 94-97 you can also use the 93 truck trans its also a 4l60e again with some simple mods .
If you get it and need the mods let me know i can send them to you in email.

Valve body, spacer plate, pump, and wiring harness are all different for the 94 model fbody. I would get the correct unit and do it right. I'm not a fan of rigging things to make them work. We just do not do that here. Vince

I just put a 96 in my 94 and it works great. Performabuilt helped me out and then I also stumbled across another site that tells you what you need to do to install almost any 94-96 fbody 4l60e transmission into a 94-96 4l60e car.

It is a pain in the *** that you can't just get any 4l60e, throw it in and have it work.

You asked a question and I gave you an answer. Sorry that you do have the money at this time to do things the correct way. That really is not my problem. Also acting the way you are I will not be offering any more advise in your threads.
