Dont have a video, but T56 forth is 1:1 ratio
Th400 in 3rd is 1:1 ratio

so yes, driving in 4th is like driving in 3rd in a th400.

I drive my truck all the time on the highway with a th400 and 3.08 gears. at 65 mph my eninge rpms are like 2700. With a 25" tire

For me, if I am on the highway cruising at 65 and step on it, I take off like a rocket. But at WOT I start building boost at 2700rpm.

If I had a way to take video I would get you some when the weather warms up. Below zero here in central Illinois today. Otherwise a th400 isn't all that bad. I averaged about 11 mpg on the highway on a 28" mt et street radial and 3.73 rear gear in my 12 bolt on a head/ cam car.

When comparing 4th in a T56 to 3rd in the TH400 you have to remember the TH400 is non-lockup, so it's going to actually be a little higher in RPM than your 4th gear is due to the nature of a non-lockup transmission. That being said I'm going to daily drive mine on 26" tall tires and 3.46 gears. I expect 11 or 12 mpg.

your rpms won't be that bad with your gear ratio still a possible good daily driver with not so bad gas mileage

whats your rear differentials ratio? and where does your 1st shift at what speed? and where does your second shift?

Damn I was thinking about this transmission, but not anymore, my 4.11 rear end will make this an undrivable car...

Do you know whats the top speed on it?

assassin you need to get that speedo fixed. Just tie into your front wheel sensor. And I wouldn't suggest a th400 in a daily driver.

if i had to guess he has a manual valve body. and your top speed wont be anything like a 6 speed.

I have 3.73 gears and I would not reccomend if you daily drive the car about top speed I do not know since my speedo is way off but I hardly ever drive it on the street I will get fix when I go to my tuner in memphis

it is a reverse manual valve body that was me shifting and recording and trying to drive a car with no power steering not safe
