Question TH350 and B&M Pro Ratchet

I've got a TH350 RMVB with a B&M Ratchet Shifter. Right now I have to pull the shifter back twice to go into reverse. Then N,1,2,3. Is there a way to adjust or set up the shifter to be pulled once for reverse?

Thanks

Chris

thats the way it is-in GM cars its that way, the shifter is designed for a bunch of diff manfs. cars-even using it for a 4 sp GM its the same way
its because of the distance from park to rev i think
