Smile FLT/PT4400 very consistent!

Once again, my combo performed great last night as I knew it would. I made five passes, all ranging from 11.623 to 11.662. My best short time was 1.57 and my best MPH was 115.77. This converter really hits hard....the launches felt amazing! I was running full weight, no front swaybar, and 18-20 psi in 16" Hoosier DR's.

I was very pleased with the consistency...too bad they don't do brackets. And of course, my FLT shifted flawlessly as well. I was hoping to squeak out an 11.5X, but maybe next time. I'll try to post a video of my launch...it was trying so hard to lift that heavy *** front tire. Looks like skinnies might be in my future. All in all though, this combo continues to impress me. Drove it 150 miles to the track and 150 miles home with zero issues. And to top it all off, my 10-bolt stayed together! I wondered because it sure felt like it was taking a beating, but my luck held. Max tranny temps I saw were 210* hot-lapping. So once again, a huge thanks to FLT and Yank....awesome products and awesome performance!

Thanks for the update but the obvious is hot lapping is not the best thing to do. Sounds like the car is running good. Good luck next time out. Vince

Nice job man. Can't wait to get my PT4000 and new trans in. Your experience with the PT series was a big reason I decided to go from the SS3600 to one.

FLT here and I'm very happy. I put huge cooler from B&M and temp tends to fall into the range of 170 to 190 depends on how hard I drive. I try to do two passes at a time and then drive normally and temp go down in a matter of 5 min.

Sorry Vince....but remember, my temp sensor is in the cooler feed line. 210* coming from there tells me everything inside is quite a bit cooler than that. It would drop down to 150 immediately after letting off at the big end. I'd switch my fans on high and keep them on until I was staged again. I did three hot laps and the last one reached 210*. I thought that was still somewhat safe? Obviously cooler is better, but it could be a lot worse.

Videos!! These are of the launch only. A full run is in my sig, but the idea here was to see how it was taking off. Sorry about the quality...it's pretty poor, but it's all I have to work with. They work better when not watched in full screen mode.

Oddly enough, my neck is extremely stiff and sore today. I think I might have slept wrong last night, but my friend who was watching me race thinks the combination of a heavy helmet and neck-snapping launches took their toll. Interesting....
