this is what happens when someone doesn't put a thrust washer between the input planet and the forward sprag. The early years used one.

that sucks. i tore into my tranny the other day, only to find that someone had stacked the clutches wrong (rebuilt before i owned it). They were steel, steel, friction plate, steel, friction plate, steel, friction plate friction plate.

and now i have all the parts to fix it, thanks to Performabuilt! good company. good service
