Default Anyone wish they had an M6?

I'm just curious..I wish I had one..Switching over is expensive.I'd have to sell the car.The reason its an auto is because my brother got it cheap at an auction..I didn't even know I was getting the car..lol

i like my auto, they are kinda dogs though without stalls. you put a 3600-4000 stall in yours and you will be waxing 6 speed *** with a cold beverage in your right hand.

A performance converter with about a 3600 stall can be built to drive with great street manors. You will know it is there while cruising, will take a little more throttle to get it moving. When on the freeway the lock up clutch will be on and it is the same as your stock converter. We can custom build you something, LS1 or LT1. Give me a call or shoot me a PM with your specs. We will make you love your auto.

Can you feel it when you take off normally? Or is it just when you put your foot into it?

I had my PCM tuned for my stall. It slips slightly when cold. Once it warms up, it is very civil. Until I stand on it, then lookout. I would never go back to rowing the boat, my right hand has more interesting things to do. Especially when I have a non-male passenger.

I've always loved manuals.. They are just fun for me.. putting 3:73's in my car definitely made it funner to drive tho..Just wonder if I should get a stall.. If its only something that helps at WOT,not sure if I need it..

i considered it after my tranny blew, but i think my new performabuilt will remind me how much i love a stalled auto! you cant beat the way they leave, how easy they are to drive, and how fast they can be!

Well I had an auto 98 T/A with a 3800 stall but i sold it and got me 02 SS M6. As it is I do think my 98 A4 would whoop the 02 M6 but that cuz my car still needs a driver mod. But manual is a lot funner though or so I think.

Every time I drive on the street. Then I watch all the 6 speed guys destroy parts and have crappy inconsistent runs at the track and I can live with the auto.

454 mag also takes their money with FTI products between the pump and flexplate.

I bought my A4 when I had a two hour commute (OC to LA). Now that I live within 15 minutes of work, I kinda wish I had an m6 to play with.

It seems like it takes forever for my M6 car to pull through the rpm band when I stomp on it compared to my stalled A4. Now to be fair, the M6 doesn't have LT's and a free flowing exhaust, but still ... the 3600 stall zips right up into the meat of the power band, while I have to wait for the M6 to get there.

I've had both and both have their perks. Knowing what I know now though, it's auto hands down for me. Some day I'll buy another F-body with a M6, but if I could only have one, I'd keep what I have. It's every bit as exciting as a manual once you add a big stall. With traction, digs and slow rolls are absolutely brutal. With the right stall, highway pulls are insane as well.

On the flip side, digs and slow rolls with street tires are a white-knuckle ride.....and not always to your favor as I found last night. I came upon a Mustang GT ('03ish) and he hammered it in the middle of a sweeping curve in the road at about 30 MPH. By the time we got through the curve and I finally hooked up, he had a car on me and had to shut down because of a truck in front of him a ways ahead. I was screaming up on him hard, but he let off right as I got beside him. It's a win in his book, and I was slightly annoyed that it worked out that way. Oh well, I'll see him again some day .

You will have to contend with the naysayers from time to time....the ones that give you the "too bad it's an auto" stigma. My response? I just grin and say, "Yeah, it is too bad ".
