shifter not moving....after swap??

Default shifter not moving....after swap??

ok just did a m6 to a4 swap..

and everything is in wired up yadda yadd

go to bolt the shifter in...and run the cable down

cool snap on tranny and snap on shifter..

ok cool tranny fluid key on..

press break humm..shifter dont move..humm cable feels real tight..

ok pop of shifter move back and fourth shifter moves fine

pop cable back on nope no movement what so every

take cable all the way off.

have in hads shifter cable has no movement..fist time i ever had a auto shifter cable...

do i have a bad cable or am i retard and did something wrong...

yes poped cable off of tranny and moved the gears in tranny with hand so tranny moves shift fine..

If your just hooking the cable to linkage and not bolting the bracket to the transmission it will not move...same reason it wont move while "holding it in your hand" if you didnt bolt up the mount bracket try that and report back

it was a crappy cable.....i got a new one and good to go!
