Pro Yank 3400
If everything goes as planned, I will have this stall installed within the next couple of weeks. Im perfectly capable of installing a converter so thats not the issue. Tuning is the question at hand. Does the vehicle have to be tuned to work with this stall? What changes have to be made? And would it be okay to drive the vehicle 20 - 25 miles to the tuner or do I need to pay him to come to me?

I definitely planned to get it tuned. I would just like to be able to drive it to get it tuned and its nice to know that I will be okay to do so. What all is normally involved in tuning for a converter? I use nitrous at the track and on the street and was hoping this is a good choice for that use. Is that true?

I have this converter in a 4l80e behind 1000 rwhp supercharged daily driver . It is tight , but on dyno it stalls alot higher than 3400, have not tried it at the track , next season.

Hey, not trying at all to hi-jack the threat, but im really curious, is the PY3400 tighter on the street than say a yank SS3600? Just kinda stuck between the two.

You should be fine. You may throw the 0757 code until a tune. (Shift solenoid b stuck on). Goes into limp mode. This is just because your computer is confused because its a higher stall speed than stock. Go getchya a tune. You'll be fine to drive.

What im saying is as a street setup it is a tight converter , like yank say. But behind my setup if i was at the track and i had full traction this converter would stall to 5000, because when we had my car fully strapped on a car dyno that is what we saw . But on the street it does not stall that high, it engages like at 2600, so far it has great street manners , this stall would suite you well.
