Default 4L60E Help

Well I think it took a dive finally. Let me see what some of you think. Last night at the track ran 4 times. First 3 times heated up the tires just fine launched off idle, flashed the converter car ran good. 4th run heated up the tires. waited for the tree hit the gas car shifted from first to 2nd fine, got to the top of 2nd car was bouncing the rev limiter and it wouldn't go into 3rd at all. Popped a code, P0124 Throttle Position Sensor 1 Circuit Intermittent. Cleared the code it never came back on but the car still won't go into 3rd at all. Replaced the TPS and it did nothing. When the car is going fast enough and goes into overdrive it does fine. Soon as it down shifts into 3rd or tries to go into 3rd nadda will just bounce the rev limiter. Any way to try and fix the problem? I know most of you are going to say "just by a new transmission" but was just thinking some of you ran into this before and there was maybe a simple fix. Details about the car are 2002 A4, 4k stall w/ cooler, stock 4L60, H/C/I, stock rear end.

That's weak Jessie. This is why I don't wanna stall my stock auto. Hell I barely wanna run a built 4L60
