Default Transmission Issues

I went to the races tonight and I was having transmission issues. Second gear is slipping at WOT it would hit the rev limiter then shift to third. All other gears shift fine. When I left the races and floored it, it downshifted to 2nd and it slipped and hit the rev limiter again then shifted to 3rd. Any ideas? Is my tranny fried. I just put headers on and the only codes I have are P0140, P0160, P0401. I don't know if these codes will make the torque converter act up or not. The mods I have on the car include 150 shot of nitrous, LT headers, Superchip programmer, underdrive pullies, and cold air intake. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it time for a rebuilt trans. 2nd gear band is probably burnt up.

Same thing happened to me when getting on the interstate. I was cruising around 50-60 and got on it to merge into a closing gap and noticed that the RPMs shot up and bounced off the rev limiter and then finally shifted. Would it be easier to get the A4 rebuilt or just swap for an M6?

Does sound like its time for a trans. And certainley would be easier and better to replace the auto with a well built auto and stall
