whats the hottest trans temps we've seen?
The only reason why I'm asking is because I've seen 221 degrees, If I dont beat on it it stays at 210. Then again I'm in south florida and it's like 88 degrees out. at what temp do we consider the trans overheating at anything about 220?

The cooler the better of course. You might consider a larger cooler in your area. But in the 190-210 range normally is fine with the occasional jump to 230 when running hard should pose no issue. Bear in mind that with the stock cooler radiator only set up you would pretty much stay in that range with a 195 thermostate all the time .

I know if I heat up to 220 I dont beat on it for a while and the temp drops back down to 210, Thats what I normally see on a regular driving basis. I have a trans cooler in the works.

well I've got a stock conerter with a beefed up internals 4l60E and a external cooler normally around 150-160ish on the highway but in hard summer traffic seen it hit about 200 but nothing that much higher. If I get high I try to either use my low speed fan switch or hit the highway if possible and stay about 60-70ish normally drops down within a few min. I'm in NY BTW
