Art Carr converters?
I have heard of the company, but someone offered me an Art Carr 3200 stall. I was wondering if these converters lack the quality of vig/yank/cd?

I am not sure what they do for the 4L60E. A lot of companies do not put billet fronts on the performance converters because of cost, can you post a picture of it so we can see what setup they are using. So in my opinion if it does not have a billet front, it is not a durable converter. If the lock up clutch fails, it will take out your trans. Good luck.

The original Art Carr transmissions/convertors were top quality. Everything they did was top knotch quality. The company was sold and moved a few years back and from what I have read, the quality went down. If the convertor is fairly new, I would pass on it. Art Carr has since gone back into business as CPT Transmission. If the vertor came from there, it should be a good one. My 200-4R came from the original company and it works great.

Art Carr is perhaps THE biggest name in performance transmissions... ever.
I had an Art Carr (the real company) converter rated at a stall speed of 3600RPM. It worked very well. Had ATI refresh it when my trans pump went and they said it looked really well designed, other than the paper clutch. I needed a higher stall speed for the new engine and went with a Yank.
