I don't know Frank's specific builds but a 4L60E for mild performance use is about $600-700 in parts alone (without converter) IF it doesn't need a bunch of hard parts like a pump, input drum, etc. and that is at trans shop cost.
Rebuild kit- $125
Band-$25-30
bushing kit-$20
thrust washer kit- $10
Beast sun shell- $50
Pump "kit"- $40
New reverse drum- $65
Valve body kit- $75
solenoids- $45
manifold pressure switch- $25
3-4 clutch pack clutchs for mods- $40-50
filter- $5
servos- $10-200
inevitably it'll need some planets or other hard part.
Couple hundred for a decent converter, more for a GOOD converter, core cost, labor and overhead, etc.
2 yr warranty....
Frank's price is pretty fair IMO.
