Default 4L80E differences for 2002 and 2004

Are there any physical differences between a 2002 2wd 4L80E and a 2004 2wd 4L80E? Are the stock programs different? Is there anything that needs to be changed in the tune to use a 2600 stall converter?

Can I install a 2004 4L80E in my vehicle that has a 2002 PCM (GM# 12200411)?

You will be fine with using that unit. You might need to tune a bit for the stall. But as far as the trans is concerned you are good to go. Vince
