Default 1996 4l80e

I had a 4L80 out of a 1996 chevy truck given to me. I've read that pre 97 4l80e's will work with a ls1 with some modifications. Anyone know what needs to be done?

The 4L80 was sitting behind a 454 in the truck. I'm wanting to put it behind my 6.0 in a mustang.

It will be missing one bellhousing bolt and you'll need a flexplate to work with it.

I have several of the GM 6.0-4L80E flexplate setups.

Other than that it should work fine.

The only big downfall to 94-97 4L80Es is the bellhousing boltpattern.
