Default trans feels like slipping after burnout

So yesterday was my first time the track after finishing up a engine swap, went from a lt1 to a ls1. I have a 01 computer running the car. The car runs and drives fine, shifts at wot and all that stuff. Get up for the first pass, do the burnout, then roll up to the line, go WOT and the car feels like the trans slips. It feel loose like this until you shut the car off, restart it and it feels normal again. Did this all day, if I don't do a burnout, it hits hard and just blows the tires off in 1st and 2nd.

I logged the runs, the trans temp never got hot (under 200), the fluid still looks good, even tried adding some more fluid to see if that would help, and no luck. Never got a code for the trans all day. I have efi live and can email the bin file if anyone wants to take a look at it, cause I'm lost and pretty much ready to look for another trans and manually shift it

Code or not your setting limp mode which is a tuning issue. Do you have a stall? Has the PCM been tuned for it , Test for code PO757 removed ?

I have a yank 3600ss converter. I don't think the pcm was tuned for it. My first experience with ls stuff.

I looked up P0757, comes up as "Shift Solenoid Valve B Stuck On". My bin file has it turned to "Not Reported" and "C: Non Emissions". Would changing it fo "Not Reported" for both DTC Processing Enablers and Mil Enablers fix this? Do I need other tuning for a stall? I've only changed the gear ratio, shift by vss shift by rpm and tcc apply and release parameters to making the driving more comfortable and shift at my desired rpm for wot.

I have had immature P1870 slip codes cause the converter not
to lock until next key-on as you describe, there may be others
that act this same way.

You say that the computer is set to not report a ses light. What about the test for the code? I think you have to delete the test. Not sure if what you did is the same thing but something to consider. Also you want to disable the test for the P0751. Both of these codes will produce a condition like what you are seeing. Vince B

I disabled P0751 in these tables

Engine DTC Processing Enablers
Engine MIL Processing Enablers
Transmission DTC Fault Processing Enablers
Transmission DTC Fault Max Pressure Enablers
Transmission Failsafe Enablers
Transmission DTC Fault Pressure Modifiers

I'm not a tuner so the advise above is just what it is. Have you tried to post this info from this thread in the tuning forums? Might get a better reply over there. Vince

How To Delete Po757 And Po751 Code With Hpt
>Go to VCM Editor
>Open you Bin file
>Go to Eng. Diagnostics
>Go to DTCs
>Scroll to p0757 or PO751
>leave enable box blank
>Next to that box you'll see 1 of these 4 settings
0-MIL on first error
1-MIL on second error
2-No MIL light
3-No error reported
> click on # 3 (no error reported)
>Flash PCM

Sounds like you're in limp mode and making a second gear start. In addition to the codes mentioned above, turn off VSS fault processing for P0502 & 503. You can read about my experience in this thread.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...nce-track.html

Doing the above solved it for me.

thanks for the info. i removed those 2 codes.

not sure if this would help. looking thru the bin file. i found the shift stabilization ratios are not equal to the gear ratios of the trans. efilive says it uses these ratios to predict the next gear ratio for torque limiting purposes.

mine are
1st: 8.94
2nd: 4.80
3rd: 3.06
4th: 2.14

also. pretty sure it leaves in first gear and shifts fine at wot. all the partial throttle feels like it doesn't want to shift until the car is shut off.
