Default 4T65, can it last?

Gang, I am doing a little bit of research for a friend who is looking at the LS4/4t65 platform for an upcoming sand rail project. It should weigh anywhere from 1600-2000 pounds when complete with passengers and ready to hit the trail. If the engine is left stock I think that the tranny will last a good long while due to the weight differential between a stock vehicle and the buggy, and the buggy always running in sand/dirt etc. If we decide to lean on the motor, is their anything that can be done to this thing to make it live other than a good cooler? Do any of the aftermarket 4L65 parts swap over? How about a converter?

4L65E parts dont swap over. I think you will be fine. Just run it till it breaks, then you know the weakest link.

If and when this goes down, Yank will be on the list of goodies! Thanks.

All it takes is money. I have seen the GMPP tuner running the t65 with 1400 Hp
