Default Lt1 retune after stall ?

I've been looking into converters for my current set up and i've been told that if i go over 3000 rpm stall that i have to have my car tuned or else it wont shift into 2nd at WOT?? Any one have an input on this? Thanks

I have a 3000 stall no tune and it shifts fine at WOT. I need to have it tuned I just keep putting it off. Only drive the car once a week or so. I think when dealing with higher stalls, the PCM thinks it's slipping and the active/adaptive learning tries to adjust the shift timing to compensate for the "wear" it thinks it's seeing when looking at RPM vs VSS. Make sense?

Yeah it does, i'm going to a 3400 stall and the car is only a weekend car and i just don't want to run into the problem of it not shifting and especially on the bottle in first and hitting the limiter would do some damage..

That's why you use a window switch, but yeah I hear ya. A certain tuner quoted me 75 to adjust for stall. Don't know if they're a sponsor on here or not.

I have a local tuner told me he would do it for 50 and yes a window switch would be nice but money is tight and it would be cheaper to get the tune.. Thanks

Wow 50? I thought 75 was a good deal. Good luck.

94LTZ, the 3500 you installed for me earlier this year shifted fine with no tuning. Not an LT1, but whatever.. Think you would be fine.
