Default 4l60e transmission line help

for the life of me i cant seam to install those clips onto my 4l60e tranny line do i put the lines in first then the clips?? what is that plastice ring for a dust over?? do you install the lines first then the clips???? i pretty sure the lines are seated all the way back into the union on the trans !! ive bent one of the clip trying to get it on !!! how hard are they to get on!!!how do you install them plilers screw river etc!!!

I install the clips first with just your fingers and then click the line in place. The plastic cover I think is just a little insurance that the clip stays in place.

thank you very much 02 35thLE &Vince @ FLT for the info i must of spent 3/4 hr trying to get those little suckers on!!! after that info it took 2 mins if that!!! thanks again for making the 5.3 in my 78 c-10 that much easier
