Default Transgo servo mod

Hey guys. I tried the search , but no luck . . Im in the middle of doing the hd2 kit on my 4l60e. . Ive noticed on the sk kit, that you grind 4 notches in the steel " plate " on the 2 gear servo . . My question is, what does this actually do ? Can i do this in conjunction with the hd2 kit ??

Thanks

When you grind the notches it basically makes the servo a solid servo like a billet superior design. The idea of the plate is that it acts as an accumulator for the 2-3 shift. With grinding the notches you no longer have a 2-3 accumulator. I would not do it and just follow the hd-2 directions. Vince B
