Question How bad did I break it?

My transmission went out on me on Saturday. Won't go into reverse, pretty much all gears are drive even neutral.

Its the 4L60E with Vig 3200 converter and transmission cooler.

Is this something that's cheap to fix or should I just get a built 4L60E/4L65E to replace it? Really don't want to spend that much money but I will if I have to. I want to make sure I do it right and not half assed.

Any suggestions would help.

Thanks

Sounds like the forward clutch has welded itself together. To do it right is to get it fully rebuilt. Feel free to give us a call if there is anything we can do for you. Vince B

Thanks for the info and suggestion Vince.

Just to let you know I have been looking at your website and right now if I do a built transmission it will be between you guys and transmission company out of Daleville IN. You may know of them.

I'll give you a call when I get a chance, maybe by the end of the week.

Thanks again
Todd

Thanks Todd. I do know the shop down there and they are good friends of ours. I can not see you going wrong with either company. Just a heads up we have a special going on that you can find on our site. We look forward to hearing from you. Vince B
