patriot performance 225/229 cam which stall

Default patriot performance 225/229 cam which stall

i purchased the cam and the person i talked to said a 1800-2200 stall would be good sounded a little low to me i was thinking more around a 2800-3200 give me a few opinions i will be buying a tci or hughes i just cant justify the 700-1kfor one the higher end ones like yank or precison ind.

Sorry, but it just won't work. You got the cam first when you should have gotten stall first. 3600 stall is what you need. I wouldn't go cheap with a verter. Either you want your car to go fast or you don't. If you do buy quality parts, if you don't don't buy anything. You'll just end up paying more in the end when you're replacing the cheap parts. That person you got the cam from didn't know what he was talking about. That's the stock stall.

I had a 2800 with that cam and they worked well together. If you go bigger that will work, but is not necessary
BTW my stall will be for sale next week if your intrested.

stay away from tci they have weak lock up clutch also cheep welded on adapter ring.call dave at yank .pay the money now and not later after the cheep verter takes out your trans.

3600 sounds a little high if i go over a 3000 is that going to kill it around town btw this engine is in my s10 not an f-body 3.42 gears

This really depends on how well you want your combo to work together. Could you get by with a 2800 converter? Of course you could. Would ýou get raped by a no cam stall only car who has a 4k yank/vig? Of course ýou would. Imo 2800 would work fine. If it was my car I would want the combo to work realLy well together, so, I officially vote for 4K. And not TCI.
