Default Stalled guys, I have a ?

Ok went to the track last thurday night with my SS4000. I got in 4 runs with the best being a 1.65 60ft time. Thats coming right off of idle of 700 RPMs. What are you guys building your converter up to and let it flash the rest? I was going to try 2600 RPMs but it started raining so couldn't. Any gains or trick is greatly appericated!

I would just try a range of rpms to see what your car likes. I have tried anywhere between 1500-2200 rpms and it seems to like the higher rpms better. Some people see better 60's by leaving off idle.

i launch at about 1300. i do that just so i dont shock the tires, and then flash it and let it rip.

It really depends on tires & suspension, what you can
hook up. Have to practice & observe. Be nice to have
a G-Tech or something that could give you quantitative
numbers, since it's all over in a couple of seconds.

It all depends on how good the track prep is and your tire setup. On my Circle D 3200 and DR's I preload it up until it almost starts spinning. I can manage a 3000 launch and 1.6X '60 on a 28'' tire. It aint great but I can't ask for more since I haven't spent a dime on suspension yet.

I tried everything with my 3200 and Nittos. Sometimes it would hook and sometimes it wouldnt. I never did figure it out. The little 3200 hit hard off the line. Never once got it to hook off idle.
