Default 3.8 bellhousing mated to a 5.3?

Can a 3.8 bellhousing from a 2002 4l60e transmission, be mated to a 5.3? The 5.3 is out of a 2006 silverado.

Thanks in advance for the help

No the 3.8 has the 60* bellhousing. The 5.3L is the standard SBC bolt pattern.

You are awesome sir. Where did you get the v8 input shaft? And did you go with a stock converter, or just oem replacement?
But really thank you, I really didnt want to spend an extra 500 on a used trans.

Don't always listen to others who chime in to leed some one wrong, do your research. I took it to my tranny guy and he put in the input shaft, he had an extra. I used a stock ls1 v8 convertor, the v6 can't be reused. I think you can reuse the v6 k-member but you will need v8 stands and you will have to drill a few new holes in it, probly better seeing if you can find a cheap local used v8 k-member. Also keep in mind a 3.8l f-body steering rack is the same as an ltx and has to be changed to the lsx style
