Exclamation 4l60e fluid pressure question?

i have a tranny im not sure if its good or not

i was wondering what would happen to the tranny if ur hooked the lines up backwards ?

would it cause the car to die at idle, an make tranny fluid come out the breather valve on the top of the case ?

and if it was driven like this for bout 10 miles or so u think the tranny would still be good ?

i opened it up the other night well took the pan off and the was no shavings in the pan or anything so what u think should i try putting it my car and see what happens or you think it would be a waste of time ?

The cooler lines? Well they would flow through the radiator in reverse but I cant see how that would physically harm the trans.....

yeah i have it running threw the stock and a aftermarket tranny cooler
u dont think that could build up pressure and maybe cause tranny fluid to some out the top breather valve or cause it to die at idle ?

I had mine run like that for a while and recently I switched to aftermarket cooler only. Im seeing cooler temps and its easier on the trans pump by not having to pump through 2 inline coolers.(factory and aftermarket) Im keeping mine like this from now on.

Possibly increased pressure inside the trans, but I never verified that. My shifts were firmed up through HPTuners with increased line pressure. So obviously you dont want a restriction added along with already increased line pressures.

Pushing fluid out the vent is generally cause either by overfilling the trans or massivly overheating the trans Unless the cooler or radiator is blocked I doubt the arrangement would cause it.

hmm that makes since, cuase i had just put the motor back in and refilled the tranny and stuff maybe there was still some old tranny fluid left in it ? causing me to over fill it ?
well u think the tranny is still good ?

also would this cause the car to die at idle ?

any ideas on y it would stall at idle ?
if my starter mount was breaking of as this all was happening would that cause the car to die at idle and eventually completely die when the starter broke of ?
because it is a major ground ?

what does the trans dip stick say? you have looked at it right? like said before, if its overfilled that could very easily cause the problem, like wise being under filled maybe too? heating the fluid up alot more because there is low level in the trans.
