Im running the castrol dexron fluid, dunno if its syn or not. I changed mine when adding a 3200 converter. Then 1 1/2 year later and slightly less then 5k I changed fluid with the installation of a 4k Yank. I will be changing it once a year even though it will prolly only be a couple thousand miles a year. Like 2-3K a year max.

are you talking a full flush or just dropping the pan?

Typically with a pan drop you lose 5 quarts or so. Recently mine was bone dry. It took 2 gallons and 1 quart to fill the trans, converter, lines, and cooler. So just for reference, I think pan drops get about half the fluid.

Thanks man, I'm stalled and I'll take your advice and change it out every other motor oil change.

LoL! Yea my last 3 cars were manual, I wanted to go automatic for comfort and I plan on staying auto with this build (Single turbo T78 370). The auto will work better for me on this set-up.

Not a complete flush just a fluid and filter change. No sense in not changing the filter since most places the pan gasket you will need cost nearly the same and the filter/gasket set.
