Just curious if anyone is using this. I was told that it makes a noticeable difference. The stuff is a little pricey. Is it a worth wile upgrade?

I worked at Jiffy Lube and I still get free stuff from my old bosses. When I get my tranny flushed, they said they use DEX 3 and put in this 16oz. bottle of some additive that brings it up to DEX 6 specs.....I don't care though because it's free and it gets changed like every 5K miles.

Why would you change the trans fluid every 5000 miles? What a waste.

IIRC VI is synthetic. I would just use DexIII, they have used it for a long time and works fine.

Default Dexron 6

On our Dyno testing as well as Production vehicles the transmission calibration (shift timing etc) was changed for the Dex 6 Change , Can,t remember why they updated to that .

Many of the new transmissions have direct friction/friction clutch operation which required an improvement in fluid technology.
I wonder if the Dex6 would affect stall or shifting characteristics in a Th400 application?
Some of the turbo guys the tractor hydraulic fluid to battle high temps, but this could be an option as well.
