Take it from some one who went and found a "budget" converter that blew up my tranny and in the end cost me double for a new tranny and stall....Stay with Circle D, Vig or Yank.

I like to ***** pictures of it out I looked at Circle D, FTI and Yanks website before deciding. I have to admit though, they all three look like they got their **** together. However, Yank has an outstanding, established reputation on this board IMO and thats why I chose them. Plus price was on the cheaper end and Dave threw in a free Tshirt for the old lady. I feel like its a win win. After having this converter for a while, its doing everything I had hoped for, and coming from a 3200 not a stock converter, I was able to directly compare the two. Im happy and I would give Yank my business again.

Also, the major thing about posting those pics is most billet front converters (yank, fti, circle d, vig) almost all look identical in size, shape and features. The billet front is a big plus, with an adapter ring welded on the front being the classic item of the non-billet/cheaper converters.

call up Dave and talk to him about what you are wanting to do with the car...nice guy, and co-owner of the company. Pretty cool I think to call and talk to the owner, who will be the one actually building your converter for you.

I agree it is very important to get a converter with a billet front. Anything else is a gamble in my opinion. The main reason is the small lock up clutch that has to be used when using the OE 245mm front.
