Default 9.75 stall converter ?

Since i don't know to much about tranny's i need some help. I was wondering if a 9.75 inch stall would fit in my 2002 camaro with the stock flex plate. Also would the tranny be ok with a 4200 stall, the car has a tick polluter cam. One more thing what is the diff from a non locking stall and a locking one, what one would be better for driving on the street daily? Thank You

Default

stock flexplate is fine. 4200, even bigger, will work good. When the converter is locked up its at a 1:1 ratio which is better for cruising and mpg.
