to o/p if you are running a 6spd stick it in 4th and that is about what you'll be running with a th400 plus say 10% converter slip... If you are running a a 4l60 stick it in drive and rest your foot on the brake pedal so the converter stays unlocked and that's what the th400 will be reving at.

Well im at 2800 with 26inch tires with 3.73 gears, and the 4l60e in od at 75mph

when Mt od went out I have to just run it in d witch is 3rd same as th400 and from what I cam remember it was 3,000 at 65ish, i still drove it 65 miles to the track to drag race it but it didn't feel like it was good to cruise over 70.

Yeah it wasn't horible, plus with the strenght of that th400 and if you get a big stall like 3600-4000 it should rip.

I ment 1/4 times, those 4.11 will put you closer tto 3200-3300 at 65. a 9 inch is easy to do those 3.73 may be worth looking into

I run a TH400 with 3.46 gears and 26" tall tires. At the time I had a 4000 stall. If I remember correctly 65mph was 3200ish.
