Check with TCI they have everything you need. Also check the stickies, theres alot of info in there that will help you out.

I used the stock 6.0 flexplate (flat one not the dished one) with the spacer on mine. Just put the converter in the hub of the crank and spin the converter around until you find a place with plenty of material to drill new holes and install it like that. It works great for me. Or you could go with the TCI set up like David suggests.

ok guys still need some help....i bought a 6.0/4l80 flexplate today(65 bucks from GM) and the GM spacer kit(75 bucks)...bolted the spacer and 6.0 flywheel up and the gap between the flexplate and convertor was a good 1/4 inch....if not more...so i bolted the 5.3 FP up with the spacer and it stuck out to far...when we bolted the trans back up there was still about 1/8 inch gap between the block and trans when the convertor and FP started pushing against each other(flexplate was starting to bend in toward motor)...so i removed the spacer and put the 5.3 FP without the spacer and the convertor and FP are 1/8(thickness of a washer) from touching...was thinkin of gettin a little bit longer bolt and running a washer between the FP and convertor...anybody ever done this....ive tried every combination i can come up with and none have worked out right...what would you guys do cause im gettin tired of pullin this trans out...thanks again for any replies
