Default LQ4, Rebuild 4l60E?

Doing some poking around.. Was wondering what you guys recommend I do for a tranny. I have about $1200 to play with, and will be removing / installing whatever tranny I get..

Motor is a LQ4 w/ 50k, right now mated to my 150k mile 4l60e. Also 3.73 Rear Gear, this is my Daily Driver (no other car)

I'm thinking rebuild the 4l60e, and go with 3k-3400 stall, but read some posts on here about not mating a 4l60 (built or not) with a lq4. Is this a good idea? I had been wondering about a TH400, but that would make the highway horrible I imagine.

I dnt believe it is a great idea. But im just not a fan of the 4L60e anyway. the damn things act like theyre made of glass.
