Default Big stall + nitrous questions

Ok guys, so my 98' z28 is currently stock but in march i'm planning on long tubes, tsp true duals, ls6 intake, performabuilt lvl 2, yank 4000 stall and i was strongly considering spraying. Now i was curious if i'll be alright to spray on that big of a converter. I did'nt think it would matter but im not sure.

I was thinking a 4000 stall because i want the best performance possible, and shortly down the road i was planning on a v2 cam.

any help would be great, thanks.

So long as it's not a huge shot, the SS4000 would do the job nicely....and leave a lot of room to grow into the cam and other future mods. Several folks have sprayed a 150-shot with great success on that converter.

alright, im going to start with a very small shot, so i can grow as i crave more power, but the most i plan on ever spraying on a stock bottom end is 150, what are your thoughts on my setup overall? i also have 2:73 gears, how will those do?

i sprayed a 175 shot on my Yank SS4000 with 3.70 rear and torquer V2 and was turning about 6500 at the top of 3rd, with 28" tires. The more efficient the converter the better.

It might be a little loose with the 2.73's, but then again I'm currently running a 5000 stall with 3.23's. If it's too loose, you can always upgrade the gears. Other than that, looks like a good setup!

yea stock bottom end with ported 98 heads

10.61@129.8 1.51 60' not spraying till out the hole 15-20 feet out. couldnt go bigger cam because of PTV clearance. would love to pick up a couple more tenths with a cam swap.

I dont think the converter was very efficient on the top end. My FTI for my th400 should be better.

I think you will be fine on a 150 shot My old set up I has a tci 3500 but it was a nitrous stall with a antiballon plate. Another thing just make sure that you have a good nitrous tune and at least a tr7 plug.

Sprayed 150 on my PT4000. Went 6.52 @ 104 with the 60e weighing 3580.

Is it optimal? no way. Did it work? I'd say so.

I shot 150 on the ss4000 and the car went 6.64 and that was through a fogger nozzel in the bellow. I tried to go up to 200 on that ss4000 and it didn't like it at all. I had a 12 bolt with a 373 gear

I'm shifting my car at 6800 1-2 shift and 6600 the 2-3 shift. I tried to spray a 100 shot out the hole but it spun my 295/45/17 MTs. I should be back at the track in the next week or two with slicks and the 150 shot. The time in my sig is spraying a 150 shot in 2nd and 3rd.

If you have really sticky tires I'd give your ten bolt a few weeks on spray.

i'm planning on a 275/60/15 tires, but im considering a tire for a 16 inch wheels also, not sure yet.

breaking my ten bolt is not a concern as i'll just upgrade to a 12 bolt if that happens.

is 6800 safe on a stock bottom end with 130k? lol im also hopefully going to do my own tuning with HP tuners. how high would i need to spin my engine to make use of a v2 cam?
