Ive been reading the stickies and searching for a while now. So I have the 4 bottom bolts in, Im just left with the damn top(5th) bolt. Its easy to see one on the passanger side, but from what ive read, thats not the one. I need to use the one on the drivers side...so.. HOW THE #$#@$# do you get to that one? I cant see it, get my hand in there to feel for it nothing....killin me man

next time you have the transmission out, dent the floorboard where that bolt is, makes it a ton easier to get a socket on etc.

yea I think Im going to invest in a real transmition jack too. "clearancing" the floor board was on my list of things to do, but I got too excited about putting the trans in.

Yeah all you need is a bunch of extensions and let the tranny hang. On a side note if you have solid mounts on the engine you have to remove the intake to get those bolts. Damn i hate those mounts.

Yup that is why we clearence the floorboards, with the solid mounts that thing doesnt move, luckily we can get that bolt without pulling the intake, it hurts and scrapes the hands though. plus having a 400 it is the only hard bolt to do.
