A4 info
I have a 01 Z28 with a A4 and have put about 25k on the car since i bought it in may 08 it is my daily driver unless the whether is bad then i drive my dodge. So it mostly gets driven in warmer and hot whether, so i was wondering i dont know what the owner before me used if it was synthetic or conventional tranny fluid. What to do to flush or drop the pan for fluid swap and what fluid should i use since i dunno what he used before i got it. It has mobil 1 oil so i dont know what is in the tranny. dont want to mess it up by trying to put clean fluid in it. Another ? is i dont have much done to the car would it need a tranny cooler without the stall or rear gears? I live near dc so it does not get to hot but usally in the 90's during the summer. thanks for any input

Nothing wrong with running a cooler on a stock trans. I would disconnect the radiator cooler and run a seperate B+M plate style cooler independently. Your trans will see fairly hot temps during the summer idling in traffic, stock converter or not. Heat is the trans worst enemy.
