Default New transmission pan but it looks sketchy. Need your opinions.

I picked up a new transmission pan + magnetic plug for $20 (I couldn't resist) but after taking it out of the box, it looks a bit sketchy.

First of all, there is no magnet on the pan. I bought a magnetic drain plug but the magnet is super small. I've never pulled the pan on the transmission myself but isn't the magnet suppose to be bigger?

What are you thoughts on this pan and magnet set up? Any concerns I should be looking at?

Here are some pictures ...

A closer look of the magnet on the pan.

What are your thoughts on the drain pan and oil plug combo?

That small magnet should be enough. If you have more metal shaving than what that magnet cant chaught then something is wrong.

And given the fact it can be swapped out in less than a second, I'd take the old one out and put it in the new pan.
I agree.
