Default TH350 swap questions

I am interested in putting a th350 behind my next engine, it is going to be a solid roller 383 lt1, it may see some spray on a highway roll, what all would need to be done to the trans for it to hold about 600rwhp, what gears, stall, and tire combo would best suit the enigne set-up. I was thinking a roughly a 4k stall speed, with 3.55 gears on a 28in tall tire. Any helpful input is appreciated, thanks guys

What kind of transmission are you replacing with the TH350?

You might have to get a different length driveshaft, go with a one piece driveshaft if you currently have a two piece driveshaft. I'd go with a 3500 stall converter and 3.73 gears for your ride. Most definitely that you would have to strengthen the internals of the TH350 to handle all of that power and torque that you might be putting through your transmission with the spray.

I was actaully just on the phone with Andy at FLT about building my TH350, your looking at $1800 or so for an extreme build, they offer 3 different levels for TH350. I can set it up for you or you can call them direct.
We're putting a LS1 383 solid roller into my 79 z28 with a TH350 in it. I also have a 700r4 sitting here we might do use instead.

thanks for the reply, i gotta wait till i finish the motor first. Idk FLT did th350's; when i was on there sight they only listed OD transmissions, btw i wouldnt trust a 700r4 behind a 383 solid roller my friend has a built one behind a mild 383 and it just wont hold the power, it slips up top on the 2-3 shift
