Default How far will a stock A4 take me?

I have a yank ss3600 and intake and the usuall but its time to replace those ticking lifters so i thought a cam while i have it apart. Could i get by with the TSP 228R 112LSA and not hurt the tranny at the track?

To answer the question I think if you leave the line easy and don't beat on it constantly it will last a while....maybe

Thanks for the input, i am sure a performabuilt or finnish line will be considered before the track.

It could last one pass, it could last 200, you never really know until it blows.. Im hoping you have a good cooler with that stall?

The killer of these transmissions is heat. A good cooler is needed. Also WOT downshifts are also very hard on transmissions. I went thru two 60's and now I have a 80 but that one is coming out for a built unit.

Sweet mother of god... That has to be the worst catastrophic failure pic I've ever seen.

Default cooler

oh i always keep it cool with the B&M 24000 or whatever it is. No WOT kickdowns for me. Plus i have some extremely dangerous sumitomo 315's in the back so it never bites on the street. My shift points are set at 6200 and not to exceed. Convertor doesnt lock until 60 after OD has engaged. The guy at boost really knows how to set these things up. My bro in law just dyno'd his car on wheel dyno.
303 unlocked in 3rd
344 locked
ss4000 yank
stock cam just intake and exhaust
so we def like our tuner.

They don't like high shift points either so 6200 is good...

10.4 @ 130 when we pulled it for a built transmission. Our stocker went to another car running bottom tens and don't know what happened to it after that.
