200r4 guys step on in
sup yalls. im scottie and im building a camaro and today i picked up a 200r4 has a 10" converter. 1 tci reverse full manual valve body, another performance valve body, etc etc etc. so some questions. anybody running a brake on their trans? what crossmember are you using? anybody boosted running one? what converter do you run? can i use an auto driveshaft? what gears are you running in the rear? how are you getting a speedo signal? check out my build and any input is very greatly appreciated.

I build quite a few 200-4Rs for cruisers to low 10 second Grand Nationals and other drag cars.
So yes boosted engines aren't a problem for a properly built 200-4R, GM did it stock.
The 200-4R is different than other more common units and it will eat an otherwise reputable builder's lunch.
As far as fit into a 4th Gen F-body, I've never installed one but it is different length than a 4L60E.
There was an electronic speedo setup used on the TTA's in 1989, it may be able to be used on a 4th Gen with some research.
200-4R works well with 3.42-4.10 gears.
