Question What classifies as a "Stage 2" transmission?

I bought a car has a "Stage 2" tranny rebuild from Advanced Racing Dynamics. (Has a 3200 stall from Circle-D also) I have a receipt from the guy who sold me the car and he said he broke the last one and had them rebuild it. Is anyone familiar with this shop's work or what classifies something as a "Stage 2" tranny?

Can it hold more horsepower, how much rwhp, etc?

If it matters for helping deciphering what was done, the cost labor/build costs = $ 1725.00 on the receipt in May of 2009.

Thank you,

Matt

Thats just a name one companies level 2 might be anothers level 4 depending on how they use numbers. It like one company has lets say a level 10 and another a level 4 both may be similar in build and power handling. Where l4 might be a top offering for one company it may be the bottom for another. Names are meaningless without knowing the builder and whats actually in the trans.

Totally, just like the stage what evers sold on eGay for cheap. While a stage 2 from a reputable builder will cost twice as much.

Why not give them a call or e-mail?I see on their website they say they build many levels of trannys. They could tell you exactly what you want to know since you have the receipt.

Not to mention if a company really does not have a build list to me it is kind of meaningless. I like to see an actual build list of the components being used verses a story of how it will be built! Kind of misleading in my opinion.

+1 on giving them a call or search for their web site to see what they have to say. Vince
