Default Stalled Daily Drivers plz come in...

Fellas i've been debating on a crate engine ir a stalled tranny by one of our fellow sponsors. I am about 90% sure i will go tranny and stall. My only dilema now is getting someone to put it in for me. I am at a location were people like to charge rediculous prices because we are a military community in the middle of nowhere with very limited choices. They either charge a carzy price or won't do it unless i buy the product from their shop.

I was able to find one or two guys that will do it, but advised me not to run a stall because they said it will create rediculous heat and cause tranny failure. I plan on going between 2800 and 3200 rpm for my daily driver and plan on a tranny cooler. Do any of you stalled DD have any problems? I know the stall creates heat, but is it that bad? He mentioned to make sure it is a lock-up converter. Can someone explain and provide any recommendations for what i have in mind? Thanks in advance!

How many threads are you going to make that say the same exact thing? There are 3 on the main page.

Get a good stall and a good cooler! You will need a tune to make sure everything works together!

Previous Yank PT4400 and current Circle D 5000 stall with two coolers and no heat problems at all. Both were very streetable too. Do it and never look back!

The millitary base dosn't have a hobby shop? it's not that hard to do with the right tools and a lift, just did my truck 700R4 on 4 jackstands and will be doing the same with the 4L60e in my "99 Z28 here shortly, plenty of good write ups. Give any of the converter sponsers a call and they will tell you what is right for your specific combo and the type of driving you do. Good luck!

I'm about to install my FTI 3600 with TruCool trans cooler. I'll let you know how it goes and what my initial thoughts are.
