one, will a converter in a 4l60e that was atatched to an lt1 car go into my ls1 4l60e

two, what is the gains with going to an aftermarket flexplate

The LT and LS converters are not interchangeable. No real benefit with an aftermarket flex-plate other than it does not break. There are some aluminum ones that are a bit lighter.
