To my understanding it applys full pressure at all times and takes the place of the factory harness plug and has 3 wire connections

I'm not really sure why running full line pressure is a problem, it seems to be all the rage with everyone wanting full manual reverse valve bodies.

I'm a transmission builder and I run full line pressure on the more powerful setups I build.

A 4L80E with a stock PR spring will idle at 90-110 psi and then go to 160-180 psi in drive with some rpm. That's not hurting anything.

I've never bought the Rossler box so I don't know what all it includes but for $300 it's pricey. Hopefully it does include vacuum modulation for the 4L60E at that price. Rossler is smart. He's selling a "Little Black Box" for $300 that I can build for CHEAP.

This was my understanding as well. Maybe someone can correct me if that is wrong but I thought with an upgraded tranny that can take the harsh shifts more line pressure was better so you dont slip the clutches and burn them prematurely with a flared shift

when i had my TCI HD-3 kit, i thought it ran full pressure, and they had an add on vac mod, which i added, that reduced the pressure in vacume mod
it dropped the pressure around 20-30 psi
i think the modded 700r's ran full pressure all the time
i saw one of the Rossler kits at a buddys place, not a lot in the kit, he offered it to me to try, says its for a 4l60e, but sup to work on a 4l80e, maybe one day i'll try it-right now im using full auto with Compushift controller, just ran some low 10's, pulled the pan to ck for clutch mat., pan was clean and fluid red, i just did a good rebuild with stock hard parts

Im interested as well. I could probably build a really crude one, I have a diagram of what functions and the sort.

I would buy one, I just dont have the 300 for a rossler...

(Mine is needed for my rockcrawler, trans doenst like to shift in double low, 2 t-cases)

IF you call Jake at Jakes performance he has the same box for 150 half the price. All it is is some solder connections and heat shrinking in that box. I talked to Jake personally for 3 hours today about how it works since I just fried my harness plug today with 140 amps. All it does it tap into the tranny pressure switch and the a and b solenoids and lock up solenoid to control the shifts.

I e-mailed jakes performance and there box does not work with the 4l60e. Does anybody know if a stock 4l6oe with a stock converter will stand up to full pressure and being manually shifted as long as I take it easy. I am on a small budget and want the cheapest option if controlling a 4l60e.

Bumping an old thread. Will this keep lock up on the converter functional. Also is there a way you can wore in a toggle switch to switch back to full auto? My car is shifting too soon at wot and I'm thinking of using this to solve it
