Help 4l60e shift problem
JUST BOUGHT A 99 SS WITH A BUILT A4.....IF YOU PULL IT DOWN IN LOW IT TAKES OFF IN 2ND.IF YOU PUT IT IN D IT TAKES OFF IN 1ST AND SHIFTS OUT JUST FINE.THE GUY I BOUGHT IT FROM SAID IT WAS IN THE TUNE.THE TUNE WAS DONE @ FASTCHIPS.COM (ED WRIGHT) HE SAID ED TRIED & TRIED TO GET IT OUT BUT COULDN'T.........ENYONE ELSE HAD THIS ISSUE...ALSO ANY SUGGEUSTIONS ON WHERE TO GET A NEW TUNE IN MY AREA.....I LIVE IN NORTH LOUISIANA.........THANKS

Can you put the stock tune in it and see if it fixes it? Also, MAKE SURE your detent cable doesn't have a lot of slop in it. physically take and put the shifter in low with the car on jack stands then crawl underneath and pop the shifter cable off and make sure the tranny is in low and not in second. Kinda sounds like even tho the shifter is in low the tranny lever is only going to second

Called fastchips but did not get to talk to ed......you can be in drive and pull it down to 2nd then low..........it gears down into low and if you keep going in low it will stay in low ............but if you stop and go again........it takes of in 2nd........if you take off in drive it shifts out just fine...123..........messin my burn outs up...lol thanks

Ps...........this is not a linkage problem........when shifter is in low trany is in low.......other than the trany problem the tune is great.....called lg motorsports in dallas.........they said they were not sure if they could streighten it out or not........not paying $650 for a 50/50 chance
