have a powerglide that wont go into 2nd. It does have a manual VB, and just wont go into 2nd.

What would cause this? My first thought is clutches?

Anybody chime in before I tear it apart and have to wait a week or two on parts and forget how to put it back together haha

which clutches did you use? Alto reds? raybestos blues? do you have the stock clutch drum or the one that uses 10 clutches insted of 8 or 6?

High gear clutches aren't applying. Most likely internal. Might want to double check the shift linkage before you pull it out.

trans is already out. The clutches are w/e came with the b&m rebuild it, has 10 clutches yes.

Dropping it off to a friend and having him go through it. New drum, new gears, etc etc etc.
