Default 4L60E lost all gears

I was cruising around the other day when it seemed the the tranny was slipping? RPM kept going up and coming back in gear so I took it back home. Reverse or anything wouldnt work hardly. I had it in first and if u get up to about 3000 rpm it barely starts to move. Reverse worked perfect for about a minute then lost it. Im guessing its the Tranny pump?

Will probably go with a built FLT tranny for a new build im doing but curious as to what happened.

Sounds like it could possibly be a combo of things. Normally when you see a vehicle that will move for a bit and then stop moving a plugged filter is the cause. However what plugged the filter? The obvious reason here is debris from the clutches or metal from the transmissions internal components or converter. We look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to give us a call if you have any questions. Vince

What would cause the whining sound coming from the tranny?
