Default please help!

thinking about going from a ss3600 to a ss4000 will there be any gains as far as track times bc im fustrated that i havent really gotten any quicker after h/c swap. i was running 8.15-8.20 in the 8th with the usual boltons plus stall and 3:73 gear. Now with new heads and 228 cam,fast92/92 but 3:42 gear now and built trans, same stall, im only running 8.0-8.05 and my 60ft time was the same with both setups witch was 1.80! on the dyno it made only 390 but i still thought i would be running at least 7.70s

That doesn't seem right...

What h/c setup are you running? Has it been tuned?

I know neither sound like they've changed, but what is your raceweight and DA? Just trying to figure out what times it should be running.

Cool

If you do end u swapping converters, let me know. I am in the market for a converer, but def not new price on one. I am in North MS too, so no shipping would be necessary. Thanks,

Brian

do you have drag radials or et streets? you didnt mention that and with a h/c/stall that is an absolute must.

You need to compensate for a difference in air. My car varies by up to a half second depending on what kind of air I am running in. Is it possible that you got your best bolt-on times in like March or late October when it was much cooler and less humid than now? A good thing to do every time you are at the track is to find a "regular" and ask them what the DA is. Chances are they will have a weather station. Or you can go buy a weather station online if you go to the track a lot.
